Case Study : Central Park Station- KMRCL
Central Park metro station is the third elevated metro station of East-west corridor of Kolkata metro rail project started operation on 13th February 2020. This required the design, development, installation and commissioning of an entire Station Control System (SCS) as part of the complete line 2 of East west corridor of Kolkata metro rail project.
Customer Requirement :-
The requirement for the Central Park metro station is to have most reliable and effective integrated Public Address System (PAS) along with the Integration with PIDS so that screens located on the station platforms and concourse would display emergency information and train arrival and departure message as synchronized PA/PIDS messages announcement.
HEINRICH Solution :-
HEINRICH provided the best solution for the PA System based on Heinrich PA System, a standard existing solution developed by Heinrich and deployed in the passenger rail transport environment (main lines, commuter lines, and metro lines).
The Heinrich PA solution is an integrated solution, permitting to the Passenger Information Controller at the Operational Control Centre, and operator in the Station Control room full control of these systems through a single HMI computer.
All supplied equipment complies in accordance with EN54-16, EN54-24, EN 50121-4, EN 55103-1, BS 5839 Part 1, BS EN 54-4, and to current safety standards applicable in India.
Features :-
HEINRICH Designed, Supplied and commissioned the PAVA system at Central Park metro station. The advanced features allows for tiered user role operation across multiple sites, fail-over and redundancy at all operational location, monitoring and control of all faulty equipments from synchronised HMI workstations, located within the Central Park station control room and from central operational control rooms OCC & BCC.
Value Delivered :-
Following successful delivery against strict time and budget constraints. Since the project, Heinrich have been providing support with the maintenance of the site to the Honeywell site team, with remote health checks along with a support and maintenance strategy aimed at reducing overall lifecycle costs. The result has led system to achieve the highest availability figure out of system at Central Park station.
